There is rain sheeting against my window. There are three — no, four piles of work on my desk in need of grading. Yet I’m happy.
Why?
Well, Dave Truesdale has published his “2007 SF & Fantasy Recommended Reading List” via Black Gate Magazine. I generally ignore these lists, but the esteemed Donald Mead brought it to my attention that one of my tales is — behold! — one of Truesdale’s recommended short stories.
The story in question is “The Angel of Marye’s Heights,” a historical fantasy of the Civil War, which was published in Paradox this past fall and has been very well reviewed so far.
Hey! That’s wonderful and well-deserved news.
Thanks, Mary! I’m pretty pleased.
