For the past couple of years I have been laboring on a new book about the historical Battle of Brunanburh. I’m happy to report that the end is in sight. The project involves contributors from around the world, and over the past couple of days I have turned over to them the bulk of the prepared volume for review. Their reports have been very positive, a fact that finds me exceedingly relieved.
Not much longer, then, and I’ll be turning in the final copy to the press, at which point everything will be in someone else’s hands. I’m hoping that it’ll hit the market with some speed, but I will have little say in the matter.
At any rate, I’m glad that the long days and nights battling the Battle — which has been the rule this “break” — appears to be over. On to the next project!
Congratulations, Mike!
Thanks! On to other things now, eh?
Other things? Fiction, perchance (she said wistfully)?
Actually, I might be hitting you with a question regarding some fiction things soon, Cathy.
I await your communication with great anticipation. 🙂
